The traditional double-walled British hive which is often seen painted white and placed on the garden lawn. The hive takes 10 British Standard frames giving a comb area of 2,000 square inches which is approximately equivalent to 45,000 worker cells. The outer case consists of a number of tapered lifts 19 7/8” square at the top.
