This is a cylindrical plastic cage open at one end. These cages are useful for rearing, travelling and introduction of queens. Queens may be introduced to queenless colonies by transferring the queen to the cage, closing the open end with a piece of newspaper and an elastic band, and placing it between the frames in a queenless colony. Using the ‘Cell Cup Cap’ for grafting allows the ‘Hair Roller’ to be used as a nursery cage. The ‘Hair Roller’ cage can also be used as a travelling or holding cage.
