What is honey extraction? Honey extraction is the process in beekeeping of removing honey from the honeycomb so that it is isolated in a pure liquid form. Once uncapped, the frames are placed in a honey extractor, which spins using centrifugal force to force the honey out of the cells in the frame. In the larger 9 framed extractors, frames are spun radially. With the 3 or 4 frame options, the frames must be turned.
